Jeremy ceremony

About me

My name is Jeremy Eden and I am a professional celebrant. My job is to bring your ceremonial wishes to life in the most engaging and rewarding way. Whether it be leading a clifftop wedding, a deeply intimate funeral service or other special days, I can guarantee that my background in theatre, acting, teaching and directing will be put to very good use. I trained with and am a member of The Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, home to the original celebrants.

My story

I returned to Cornwall in 2013, my childhood home. I am a retired Drama teacher of 27 years, used to tread the boards a little (including, for my sins, as an Ali G impersonator) and have been qualified as a celebrant for seven years. I trained with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, the original organisation of this type in the world. I love where I live (mid-Cornwall), and am always keen to show off about the therapeutic benefits of a life by the sea.

My role as your celebrant is to first and foremost to be a good listener. You are my guide in creating your memorable day. If you need ideas, I will provide them. You also have my reassurance and support, throughout. And on the day itself, I will be both the invisible arm around your shoulders as we navigate the emotions of the day, and the confident link between your gathered loved ones and your vision for that day.  I believe my excellent level of communication, mind-mapping creativity and confident public-speaking skills will grace any occasion.

Please note that I can travel all over the south-west in person, but am also available for bookings further afield and abroad, subject to negotiation. Rehearsals for the big day can also be arranged.
